Nuptial planners from all key Indian metropolises are organising annual family excursions for the honeymooners and there is no better place than Thailand. Since there is massive progress in the figure of Indian marriages forecasted by Thailand, there will be a number of opportunities for all businesses to take advantage of. According to a rough estimation, in every couple of days, Thailand is hosting one event which makes around 300 Indian weddings every year. Each of these weddings involve guest ranging from 100 to 600, in some cases, even more. The holy matrimonial rituals last from three days to a week or 10 days. As far as the budget is concerned, it ranges from 10 – 50mil Baht for every event in any given Hindu wedding venue.


What Thai official say about this forthcoming potential?

“This is still only scratching the surface of the market potential. An estimated 15 million weddings are held in India every year with an overall expenditure of US$60 billion dollars. With the vast majority of the Indian population still in their 20s, many more weddings will come up in the years ahead.” Said the Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and South Pacific – of the Truism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mrs. Srisuda Wannapinyosak.
